Michael Whelan has been one of the world's leading fantasy
artists, winning the Hugo Award fourteen times, and the Howard
Award for Best Artist three times. He has been listed as one of
the 50 most powerful people in science fiction, and has had his
work exhibited around the world and featured on numerous book
covers.
Mr. Whelan's work was one of Michael's earliest influences in
his fantasy art, and continues to inspire him to this day.

and fantasy illustration. During a career that has spanned over two decades, her paintings
have appeared on hundreds of book covers, on calendars,portfolios, trading cards and in magazines.
Rowena Morrill has been an artistic inspiration to Michael since
he first became acquainted with her work in the early 80's, and her work continues to influence his own fantasy art.
