This interesting gallery and shop is located in Ellicott City's historic district and features striking examples of both stained and etched glass. Windows, Doors, tabletops, it's all here. Visitors to the shop can often see new projects being created right before their eyes. Great Panes specializes in unique, one-of-a-kind designs, as well as restoration and repair of stained glass works. Fused glass and hand-made beads are also available.

While exploring Barbados, I was drawn to this lovely art supply shop/coffeehouse. Perhaps it was chance that led me there on their opening day, perhaps destiny, but in either case, I was immediately charmed by both the artwork, and the overall energy of the shop and its owners, Tracy Gibling (pictured sitting on the right) and Charmaine Downes (sitting on left). Artists making stops throughout the islands of the Caribbean are encouraged to visit this shop on the friendly and beautiful island of Barbados.
