KillerLight v2
A beautiful theme for WordPress
===============================

** For the latest information about the theme, please visit http://www.ideacog.co.uk/killerlight/ **

This new version of the KillerLight theme is available for free to all WordPress users.

It has been produced by Simon from killswtch.net, a blog which was the trigger for the creation of the original version of this dark but colourful theme.

The theme has been based on the Thematic theme framework, which provides a tested and stable base on which to build new WordPress themes. Should you choose to use KillerLight v2, you can be assured that there are unlikely to be any major issues.

How do I install the theme?
===========================

Once you have downloaded the ZIP file that contains the theme, follow these instructions to install it into your WordPress-powered site.

What browsers does it work in?
==============================

This theme takes advantage of CSS3 trickery to make it look pretty. This includes things like font embedding and shadows. It should still look ok in older browsers (IE7+, FF 3.5+, Safari 4+) but to get the best results, you and your visitors should be using the latest version of whatever browser you use. IE9 may not get things entirely correct though.

If you expect the majority of your visitors to be using older browsers e.g. IE6, then you may want to consider a different theme with simpler styles.

I don't know what Thematic is - do I need to?
=============================================

Nope. It just means that KillerLight v2 has been built on top of something existing, designed to make new themes strong and reliable.

Can I run it alongside other Thematic-based themes and child themes?
====================================================================

You shouldn't experience any problems doing this.

Where's the header animation from the original KillerLight theme gone?
======================================================================

The first version of the KillerLight theme for WordPress, now defunct, featured a cutting-edge animated header which brought the page to life. Unfortunately, even very powerful computers struggled to run the javascript-based alpha-channel tweaking animation. It caused a lot of confusion for people, and has been dropped - for now. Maybe we'll see something in v3 of KillerLight?
